Casa Hogar Vida

Casa Hogar Vida

The dream began almost four years ago. With the HIV/AIDS pandemia growing in Honduras, specially in Choluteca, God started doing His marvelous connection work.

Pastor Geovanny who happens to be a physician was appointed to the HIV Control Department by the Health Department of Honduras. Almost at the same time Ian Fawcett felt called by the Lord to come and work in Honduras. Salvador Foundation, Cedar Creek Church, Heritage Christian Church, The Rock Missouri and other churches which were already connected through the projects in Limon, started feeling the same calling. Tending to the many wives being left as hopeless widows, and the many orphans in the Southern region of Honduras.

Casa Hogar comprises the areas of Education, to promote awareness, control, and also avoid stigma and discrimination. Self Support Groups to have those infected help and encourage each other. Businesses as an opportunity to make a living decently and with pride. An Orphanage for those kids left with no relatives around. A fully functional community with houses being built, for many families who need it.

In 2010 we expect to build more houses. How many? as many as God funds through you, our friends, those who care about these families in distress.

Nutrition Center La Libertad

La Libertad is a fishing town in El Salvador, perhaps by our observation, a sleepy town, a dormitory like some call it, because most of the workers travel to the capital city for jobs. But also La Libertad is a place of great need, the lack of jobs, education, proper housing, nutrition, makes is a great place to serve.

On February 10th, the Great Commission Church of La Libertad will be inaugurating a Children Nutrition Center, known in Spanish as CNI, where more than 20 children will be treated against malnourishment, and also thought principles, values from Scripture, while their parents and entire environment is treated.

This church also runs an outreach for the youth. A Training Center where Middle School students are thought Computer Science and English, two tools that will empower them to be successful. They also learn about the Gospel, about living a God honoring life. All of the kids involved are not church members.

On the night of October 13th, ravaging floods destroyed about 40 homes, leaving the poorest in total misery and dispair. We built homes almost immediately, but more are needed.

Come to La Libertad and you will partner in Evangelism, Discipleship, Fellowship, construction, tending malnourished children and adding into the youth at the computer center.
